I'm Back in the game

Hi all,

After selling all my old cars and buying a brand new
Solstice GXP I am back in the game!

Just bought a 1970 Vista Cruiser! 455 car! I have owned more than 20 oldsmobiles and it was driving me crazy not having one in my garage. This is my second vista. 1st was a 65.

Looking forward to getting this thing the way I want it.

It is great to be back in the game!

Doug in Lansing

Let me be the first to tell you two things:
(1.) Welcome back to the fold.
(2.) We need pictures.

You can't live in Lansing and not have an Oldsmobile can you?

Lansing Rocket

I will try and get some pics up tomorrow.

I just went to RE olds museum the other day as well. I am a true Olds fanatic! Living in Lansing and not owning an olds should be a sin.. I must have been feeling guilty. Good-bye Solstice!

Looking for my 1st car - or something close. 1970 Cutlass S. Platinum w/ black top

Looking forward to being an active memeber of this forum

Hark

Welcome fellow Vista Cruiser dude.

Why not HarkVistaCruiser as your name?
Those 4-4-2's get way too much airplay here.

Because

Well,

I love the 442's. I will have another one before I'm through. But These big cars are a dream to drive! No one has them and they are getting tougher to find! I have a real love for the wagons!

Plus the reason I chose that username is It is easy to remember and have been using it on other forums and email for some time. At 42 years of age I only have so much room in my brain to remember these trivial things

I'm glad to be back!

Nice. I find Vista Cruisers and other wagon interesting. Most of us in our prime would have nothing to do with one. They were for people with kids and not for us youngsters. We wanted convertibles or hardtops. I think they are really cool and would like to have one. Won't happen due to money and space limititations but it would be fun. With two kids and three grandkids it would be neat. This is a good looking car.

Here is one on ebay that looks pretty decent.

Hey Hark,
No need to push one orphan out the door to get another!
Although it isn't a GXP, my early production 06 Solstice will soon have to share the garage with my 69 H/O. I'm sure they'll coexist quite nicely! Can't beat the Solstice for pure, worry free driving fun. I rarely put the top up, except in the parking lot at work. If it is that kind of day, I just don't drive it. I've been thinking of adding the coupe to the collection if I can find one!

Orphans

Actually - I had to push that baby out! Just sitting there losing money. I loved the car - very quick, but found out that I really am an Oldsmobile guy. - Living in Lansing for most of my life I have grown up on these cars. I couldn't afford another old car and keep the gxp. C-ya pontiac, sorry you are going the way of Oldsmobile
