Houston, you have a problem...
Hi Everyone,
I figured I would go ahead and introduce myself, although I am a couple thousand miles away from my '72 Cutlass right now (so I can't post pics just yet.) Anyway, I am in Houston as of 2 and a half months ago, by way of California, by way of Detroit.
I have a notchback 1972 Cutlass that I purchased almost exactly 10 years ago, in Detroit. It is in pretty good condition, and has been garage stored for the most part since I bought it. The 350 rocket that was in it was in pretty bad shape so I replaced it with a C-head 455 with only 38K miles on it. I also jumped up to a 400 THM at that time... That was within the 1st year of ownership, and the project has slowed down significantly since then. A couple of years ago I converted to HEI and moved back into storage. I am now looking to pick up the pace on this project since I am in a more weather-friendly location. I am having her shipped from Michigan in the coming months, and hopefully I can kick it into gear. I may start with a front disc brake conversion, and I am also looking for a 442 louvered hood, followed by a new header-back exhaust system, rear end, and finally a fresh coat of paint. Interior is mint, other than the driver's seat, so I will have to restore that.
So yeah, there you have it... that's my story.
Peace,
Mil'
