Hi all you Oldsmobile fans.
Hi all you Oldsmobile fans.
I'm new and once I get use to this 1st ever forum I'll be happier...lol
I got my 1st classic Olds a year or so ago and I love it but got scammed by the body shop leaving me very mad and heartbroken along with a dismantled car in primer.
I wish I wasn't disabled and could do things myself. I chose the 66 olds 98 convertible for the smooth ride and the beauty of the car along with it's magnificent 425 engine. My car is my avatar before I brought to shop to get re-painted.
I'll try posting for parts wanted or sell my car as is all in parts....grrrrrr.
Hope you all are enjoying your rides!!

Sorry I forgot to say where I was from. I'm from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior and my car came from Cleveland Ohio. It's super solid with all that rust protection spray (Z-Bart) from factory or dealership on it.
Welcome to the site... Could be a good project for someone to complete... It's sad when businesses take advantage of someone when they know, because of your disability, you are unable to do things yourself... Good luck with finding someone to help complete the project for you, or finding a new home for it... There are quite a few Michigan members here, maybe even close by you, that could help out with your situation...
Thanks for the welcomes oldcutlass and CRUZIN 66. I remember years ago someone had a 68 firebird with a 455 olds motor (chained to frame) in it and it was very impressive. I have owned a 67 firebird ragtop 400 for 31 years which I sold cheap to my son and then I bought the 66 ninety eight. My bird took several best of show and 1st and 2nd places. Got my son hooked now...lol. In time i'll get my 66 olds on road again (I hope) so we can cruise together and attend car shows. Thanks again and keep the rubber where it meets the road.
Damned body shop cracked the plastic on passenger door panel and also 3 pin holes in my back seat (white vinyl). Hope to find. I have an x-tra 425 out of a 67 with C heads, likely small vlvs since out of a delta 88 which is ok. I'm thinking the B heads on my 66 are also small vlvs.....in either case I'm satisfied. It's a cruiser for my worn out body....lol
