Hi to all olds lovers

I am a newbie to your group that has had the bug of loving cars forever and have had a few. My first car in 1976 at the age of 16 was my cousins Heavy Chevy Chevelle. Got into a 78 Trans Am when I got my first bigger paying job and so on.

Over the years I have had a 1967 Coronet R/T and a 56 Chevy changed from the 6 and 3 speed to a 350 and glide. I got the car bug from my dad who had his share. His first car after getting back from the Korean war was a black 57 olds 88. Wish I had that car. He passed away in 1996 and we were always looking to find one but never did.

My buddy has always had a 1970 black with white stripes w-30 442 since he was 16 as his first car bought at a used car dealership in 1974. He was always going to restore it and so I knew it was off my list of cars to get if he was going to do that. Well we got done pulling the motor 3 weeks ago and it is going to go and be redone soon like another 3 weeks or so. I was to find the parts in NOS to be used on it if possible so I joined here to find parts.

Then it hit me again and I have been searching for my own to buy ever since, so I do not have a car to share with you all at this time but will when I get one. As everyone knows it is just a matter of time and money when you know you are going to do it. I have leads on a few and will see what happens. Glad to be here as many of you know once you have that bug you cannot shake it. No cure for it at all. Best Regards all Rob

Welcome to the site Rob, post some pictures of your buds W30. We have a great group of knowledgeable folks on site here. Do a search through the parts wanted classifieds and post a list of items you need in the parts wanted section also.
