Help ID my posi - 402227 T3 OFD4?

Can someone help ID the posi by year car and model? It's a 3:90 - 3:91 by revolution calculation and the markings are as in the title, 402227, either OFD4 or CFD4 on the main housing with an upside down T3 on the passenger side tube. Thanks in advance,
Joe

axle

I found T3 Axle code with matching 3.91 axle ratio limited slip chart says series 31,35,32,36,42 and 4400 series Oldsmobile, asy# 4027777 axle sub asy, numbers are fairly close to yours. Somebody correct me if i am wrong here but some of those series come back to 88's

Source 1969 Oldsmobile chassis service manual.

Regards, Pat

442 w series

Thanks Pat. I found miscellaneous information pointing toward the 1970 442 W- series. It's hard to confirm though.

Hi Joe,

1970 CSM shows that TO code For 3.91 limited slip for non W-machines also for TJ for W-machines and SZ for aluminum axle plus part numbers for 70 axles begin with 405xxxxx. see pages 13 and 14

The T3 code was in 1968 and 1969 442 with 3.91 with disc brakes.

Not to sidetrack this thread, but more as a matter of Olds trivia, I *believe* '67 was the only year where there were W30 specific axle codes.
