HELP ID bumper guards

Found these bumper guards and can't identify them. Look to be from 1965-1972 GM but I have no clue. They have a funny indented place in the middle of them. They are front guards I am pretty sure. ANY help greatly appreciated!!

There should be a part number cast inside the guard. What number is it?

Hi Allan,
There is no PN on either one. I actually took one of the inserts out and it has PN 3916530 FK on it. These are not a repop as the insides show their age as does the chrome. I had no luck googleing that PN.

That is likely an X body bumper guard. I looked up the Group (7.828) and there's one that's almost identical for Olds - Part number 3916640. The parts manual says the same guard was used on each side. I don't have the parts manual for other brands, so it could also be a Pontiac Ventura?? I haven't seen any Buick Apollo or Chevy Nova's with these front guards.

These pictures look a LOT like the one you posted.

Well I think I answered my own question....after a lot more searching I found a picture of them. They are front 1968 Chevelle, Malibu, and El Camino. Thanks for the input!!!
