Question help finding heater core

I have a 55 super 88 and the heater core is leaking. I am having trouble finding one. Can any one help me by giving me a web site or a place I can call and ask. I am from Columbus Ohio.

You might be able to have a local radiator shop recore your part..

I have tried that but to record the cost was going to be over $200. I was looking for any after market company that may still build replacements. Thank u for the suggestion.

heater core replacement

JD super 88,make sure your heater control valve is not leaking sometimes it looks like it a core has gone bad and the valve has given it up. Doubtful that you will find a replacement for less than $200 on that core, I think I paid $150 for a re core ten years ago.I couldn't find anything from Fusik or USA Parts ,my most common suppliers of 50s era parts and if they don't show it its probably not commonly found.

I have pulled and repaired cores myself in the olden days with various results. Can be done if your core isn't to far gone and you are good with a soldering gun and torch, Can't beat the price.....Tedd
