Ok more pics. I was told this is 1 of only 69 Pace Cars that were built and they were all at the track. The car came from Maita Olds in Sacramento California. I live in Lubbock so if you need me to check on a car for you out in West Texas please let me know.

I need to correct my statement above. This is 1 of 69 built with factory power moonroof. All moonroof cars were at the track.

Yes, Eric was there, I was there and a bunch of others were there. I knew we had a pace car there. I didn't get to talk with you but I remember your car. You made a pretty good drive from Lubbock to Granbury. That was a fun show. Welcome aboard. I had a 78 Delta 2-door years ago. It was not a pace car but man that was a good car.

Thanks. I hope we do that again next year. You may want to check on the cruise down to Fredericksburg in November. I haven't don it but hope to this year. I am not quite ready to head out on a 600 mile round trip yet. I hope to be by then.

Hey Steve. Not sure I know you. I have lived in Lubbock for almost 20 years but I went through school in Hobbs. Were you a member of any car club? Get this I special ordered a 1977 442 at Villa Olds in Lubbock I remember drooling over all the cars there and when I was younger did the same at Womble Olds over on 19th St. Even though I lived in Hobbs we came over to cruise in Lubbock as well as Midland/Odessa a lot. Next time you're here come to the Sonic on 66th and Frankford for car cruise every Thursday night so we can meet. My friends along with Rick Winn started the West Texas Olds Club right here in Lubbock.

Hi, and welcome. You should be able to string 5 pics at a time, or post a url or link for more pics. Use ADblocker to get rid of the pop ups.

Ok "block pop ups" is turned on, on my iPad. How do I turn on ADblocker? It is only this sight that is doing the pop ups. As far as the pics I think it is because I need to shrink them and don't know how.

Hey John, thanks for the reply. Yeah I remember Womble and Villa Olds well. I learned to drive in a 62 Olds 98 my dad bought at Womble. I hope I can come home soon, but its hard for me to take off work here. Im the only one that does what I do here at work so im kinda stuck. If i take off then they dont have the service, therefore I cant. Kinda sucks but im just happy to have a job. We use to do cruise night at the Sonic on 49th and Indiana on Thursday nights. I havnt been a member of a club for along time, seems every time I joined one there were more arguements between members than just having a good time. Im an adult, I dont want someone scolding me if i dont come to a meeting, lol so I just gave up clubs.
Anyway look forward to meeting you someday

Steve

Thanks for the welcome. Did you design cars for Oldsmobile?

Nope, way too young for that Nor do I design cars at all. It was a one time career goal, but I ended up in another field I enjoy.

Now if I ever came across the opportunity to get into that field I wouldn't say no.
