Hey Kris, Cutlass was pretty much the same from 1981 - 1988 so you should be able to round up parts pretty easy. Hope your rebuild goes nicely, I have a 73 Olds 455 that's my first rebuild too. Not much progress to date because my 72 350 runs absolutely perfect. When I build the 455, I'll drop it into the 72 and rebuild the 350.

Nice to see young blood interested in car stuff. Hang in there, ask questions, and welcome aboard. You're amongst friends. BTW, that's one of the few times I've seen Kris spelled that way. Is it Dutch or Scandanavian heritage?

Welcome to CO. The good thing is there are still a lot of G body Cutlass cars and parts out there and we have quite a few members experienced with them. Good luck.

Kris isn't all that different anymore- I know three Kris/Kristophers now, and one Cris.

Where are you in NC? there's a bunch of NC and southern Virginia folks on here and I'd like to try to get them all together sometime, just dk when.

No problem. Wasn't being critical, just haven't run into that spelling very often. I had the pleasure of training and working with a guy named 'Cristian'. Just had to remember not to put an h in his name for his certificates! That's a pet peeve a lot of folks have - having their names spelled wrong. It happens to everyone though innocently enough....

Had a friend who was different too. When his son was born he was at odds with his wife about the boys name, so he threatened to name him 'valvecover' or 'lawnmover'. Anna gave in and agreed to "Jason".
