Hello from Canada
Hello all, we recently purchased a '72 cutlass 442. I found this forum while searching online for some more information on the car. Hope to start the Restoration soon. The car needs to be taken apart and cleaned up.
Welcome to C.O.
Another Canuck - wa hoo!! Be sure to start a thread on your project. Take lots of pics to document your progress and show us how you're progressing.
Oh, Let's see some more pics of that nice ride of yours. AND,there's a fair number of Canucks in your area who are also members on this site.
Take a minute and post your location on the Classic Olds map : https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...oldsmobile+map

Thanks Guy, there are some really nice cars on the site. I like the projects section. Here are some shots of the car as it sits. The underbody is rough, so i'll be taking the interior out and replacing some sheet metal to start.

So does that mean you will be doing the work yourself or farming it out? If you have the skills and equipment I foresee a really nice build thread coming. BTW, in 72 the deck lid spoiler didn't exist for Cutlass models. A lot of guys put them on just because they like the look. That one I would change to body color - IMO the black doesn't work for it.
I agree on the spoiler color. It will end up being painted with the rest of the car. I'll be doing the majority of the work besides sand blasting parts and spraying the paint on. Im planning on gathering some parts up before i begin.
.Let me know if you need to have any of the work done. There is a good restoration shop in Windsor that I use. Send me a PM if you would like.
