Welcome to CO. If the car has worn ball joints it may need other front end parts replaced as well, there are some good sources for aftermarket parts if you don't decide to use OEM spec items.

Welcome 1971 Cutlass, my name is 1971 Cutlass convertible! Kidding aside, I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for here, hop in on some general discussion forums and make some new friends. I'm here only a week, I've made one friend, had many people answer my questions regarding my cars, and I'm all over the place on this site. BTW if you own a Buick, the sister site to this one is V8buick.com That, actually is how I found this site. You don't have to but, in the general discussion forum you may answer...Ginger? or Mary Ann? Good to have ya here, steve e

Wheel Problem?

I said I would be re-doing the Upper-Ball joint becouse when I would jack the car up, the wheel would shift downwards. It doesnt look like something small. Also, I got the ball joint remover tool and after a while, I got it out. Now it won't come back in!!! I even tried jacking the car back down, using the weight of it to push the control arm into place with the ball joint, but it would not work. What could be the Problem?
Thanks
