Heater Problem

i am having a problem with my climate control. its blows fuses every time i change from heater to defrost or just strait off. i am only getting hi speed now lower. i have looked at all wires and cant seem to find the problem. i have changed my climate control switches and changed the blower motor still to no avail please help

1985 Oldsmobile delta 88 royale brougham
307 topped with a edelbrock 650 cfm carb and air cleaner

See my answer to your ?? over on AACA. Someone here may also have some ideas, but my money's on that compressor clutch switch on the control head.

Does it blow when set to AC modes? If so check the wiring leading to the AC compressor clutch. Unplug it from the compressor and put an ohmmeter across the two wires. Let us know what you get.
