Grew up with Oldsmobiles

Hi,
I am new to the forum, but grew up in the sixties with my fathers many Oldsmobiles. I remember a 63 olds 88 my dad had with what he called "hollyiwoods" dual mufflers. It did rumble pretty good. My mom had a 2 door smaller olds, I think 63, with an aluminum engine. It had air. The freon leaked out and stained the ceiling. My dad had it fixed and got rid of my moms favorite car. Then she got a 69 cutlass. I wasn't even 10 and my dad would stop and then floor it. up to about 100 mph. and then say, "you have to blow the cobs out of it". I am sure I will learn quite a bit from your forum.
I bought a 66 olds cutlass convertible. The title I was promised never happened. I knew the frame was bad, but didn't realize it would be so expensive. I tried selling the whole car. No reasonable offers. So, I am going to part the car out. I am sorry to see any old car go to the crusher, but other cars will live from all the parts I have. I have a complete car, except the hood. Hopefully I can get my money back and then find a better car.

Welcome to the site! Before you start selling parts you might consider posting a parts wanted ad here to see what gets offered. Yes those frames are hard to find, but if everything else is salvageable it might be worth a post.

What part of the country/world are you in? Yes, we've members from all over the globe on CO

Do you have any pictures of the convertible you could share with us?
John
