Greetings

Hi, the name's Scott Worner, and I'm a young Olds fanatic (20 yrs old) from Illinois. I bought my first Oldsmobile when I was 15 years old for $500. Its a 1976 Cutlass S 442 (I've been told its kinda rare). As far as I know its completely stock (I checked 350 block and TH350 trans numbers). Bought it from a widow that her husband was working on it. To be honest, its still parked and collecting tree sap, still waiting for a nice garage to restore it in. Finding parts for it is a bear, so any help on finding parts would be appreciated.

I just recently purchased a 1972 98 Regency for $1500 (the guy didn't really know what he was selling). This one I believe is a gem. As some of you may know, its one of 2650 Regency's made in 1972. Gold paint, Tiffany name, cushion seats with embroideries, and so on. Its not in perfect shape, with the vinyl top cracked, some paint chipped off, and some rips in the seat but overall it in decent condition. I'm wanting to rebuild the big 455 in her, but I want to make it into a strong cruiser. By your experiences, should I build her up (Edelbrock heads, intake, cam, headers) or keep her stock because its so rare? Also, again, finding parts for this land yacht is troublesome. Any hints and pointers will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
(I'll get picture up soon)

Thank you. I want to do mostly top end on the 455: Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Performer intake, Performer-Plus cam (288/298), Performance Distributor DUI, and headers. does this set up sound good? I'm kinda new to engine building, so I'm not sure on some things. I'm more about torque, not top end horsepower. Another question is can headers made for the Cutlass/Delta 88 fit the 98? I can't find headers anywhere that says they'll fit a 98.
