Hello from Texas and welcome.

There are many on this site who have knowledge about your Vista Cruiser and will be glad to help you.

And you can place ads for the parts you need.

The first Vista Cruisers with the top glass were made in 1964, the last in 1972. The top glass was not an option.

Vista Cruisers were a separate model line with longer wheelbase than the flat-top Cutlass Station Wagon.

Actually, in years 1964-66, the flattops were just F-85 wagons, or F-85 Deluxe wagons. The Cutlass nameplate replaced the F-85 Deluxe nameplate in 1967, so that was the first year you could buy a "Cutlass" flattop. The flattops shared the wheelbase with the more-door cars (115" in 1964-67, 116" for 68-72). The Vista was always 5" longer wheelbase, all of it in the back seat footwell area. This allowed enough room behind the back seat to allow the third seat to face forward. Unfortunately, that required the third seat to be on top of the rear axle, so the raised roof was needed for headroom. Kind of an elegant solution to a packaging problem. Vista quarters, tailgate, and rear side glass are the same as those on the flattop. The back doors are unique to the Vista since they are 5" longer.

More Vista trivia:

The VIN for the Vista was actually the same as for an F85 (334...) and a Cutlass (338...) in the early years. Like the 442, it wasn't until the 1968 model year that the Vista became a totally separate model line and got the unique 348... VIN.

I always thought the roof glass was the whole point behind the "Vista" part of the vehicle name.

You mean like this Vista Cruiser?

And yeah, I realize these had the "Vista Vent". Sorry, not the same.

Names become popular and then the manufacturer will try to wring every last bit of use out of it. Look at the 80's 442- 4 cyl, automatic and single exhaust. Or the 1975 Vista Cruiser with out vista windows. And now the Ford Mustang electric vehicle!! Anyway hello, Oldslow and welcome to the site, you will find a lot of help and advice here!
