68 and 69 are interchangeable for parts. Fortunately there's more stuff coming on line every day for this era of car.

I have a correction! Sorry to those 69 lovers my car is a 70 cutlass s. Although the engine i will be putting into it is a 69 455. It had a 350 in it which is not the original engine so i thought what the heck might as well put the 455 in it. Right now I am at the rolling chassis stage.l I will have pictures of my progress some time in the near future. i just have to download them onto my computer.

Thank you for the comments. Yes the barn could use a make over. It needs tin siding haha. Another project for the future. The 455 engine is not modified. I bought it from a guy who had it sitting in his garage on the floor. I am not sure what car it is out of but i know it has c heads. Those are pretty good right? It was missing some brackets and pulleys, but i stole what i needed from the 350 engine. I have it painted red and it looks sharp. I have the engine and 350 automatic transmission mounted on the chassis, and am getting a shift kit for it. I installed new brake hardware, ball joints, shoes, shocks and i think that is it. I will have pictures of all this soon. Eventually I will repaint the car a different color than the gold (which was not the original color).

I might be wrong but I believe the 68 and 69 455's were red and the 70-76 were metallic blue. Here is where i found out.
