Welcome. Sweet ride. We (the wife & I) debated over a crate motor when we re-did our engine rebuild. Decided to stay with the numbers matching motor. Worked out to around the same price.

I'm thinking about getting it painted some blue color, what is a cool shade you think? Also, I want to get the black vinyl top, black stripes on the hood, and the rear, well I've seen some with the stripes on the trunk lid and rear spoiler, I'm thinking about no stripes back there but making the rear spoiler black. What do y'all think? THX!

If you do a search in your web browser of 70 cutlass there are lots of pics to see what others have done. You may get some good ideas from that.

Hello Mat, welcome to the site. Totally awesome here, enjoy. Just to give you advice, putting a chebby engine in a Oldsmobile is a sin for alot of guys on this site. Be prepared for some flack. Anyways nice project, what is the white car under the tarp?

Going to be a badass car. Looks awesome. All I say is don't put stripes on the deck lid - that's a chebby thing. ( a pet peeve of mine..)
