I've been a car enthousiast all my life, but this is my first foray into the classic car arena, so I am on a binge to educate myself.
I just obtained a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 (at least I've been told it's a 442) convertible in pretty good shape. Thds car sat in a garage unused for the last 15 years, which I thought was a crying shame.
Apart from getting the car to start (which took little or no effort apart from the obvious oil change etc.) I haven't done anything to the car yet. I'm just getting together a game plan for the car, deciding how mild or wild I want to go with it.
Welcome tank!!!! nice ride, I would put a gas cap on her though... if you post your vin and data tag info the guys could translate what you have (some guys leary about posting vin numbers though) I think I Have garage envy LOL...
That looks to be in really, really good shape. (Minus those speakers on the floor...what the???) Regarding the mild vs wild...I'm a fan of keeping as much stock as you can. There are less and less of these cars around every year, and especially with people modding them it makes them disappear. Do what you want as it is your car, but I'm hoping you keep it mostly as-is.
