Changing window glass in a 55 Holiday 4 door

I'm thinking about replacing the window glasses in my 55 Holiday 4 door 98. I've found a site or two that sell the glass in kits. However, none offer any instructions on how to remove the glass from the chrome frame. Nor do they offer the adhesive strip used to install the new glass in the frame. Does anybody have instructions, or know where to find them and the adhesive strips. I've had the windows out of the doors before, but don't want to damage the frames trying to replace the glass. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't been on the forum for awhile so just saw your post. My advice since I also have a 55' Super 88 get your glass from auto city classic in MN. Remember the glass came in clear, green tint or grey tint. If you look at the LOF code on the glass they can tell you what the tint is if any. I ordered the rubber channels or glass weatherstripping from either Fusick Olds or Steele Rubber, maybe a combo from both. I found it easier to let a reputable auto glass shop do the work. If I recall it was not that expensive. Hope this helps a little.
