Canadian 98 Regency
Hey folks! Got myself a 1976 98 Regency. New to the site! Desperate for some help on this thing. Hoping to find it here, haha.

I think I have to have a minimum post count before I can put up pictures? In any case, most of my questions will be about tuning up this old dinosaur of an engine. I got the car with a 4bbl Edelbrock swapped on and no vacuum hoses to speak of.

Welcome to the site.
1976 was the last year of the really big boats, and the last year that Ninety Eight came with a 455. There are 2 years of Ninety Eight I'm really partial to - 1973 and 1976, mostly because of the front/rear styling. Side styling was pretty consistent from 71-76.
Is your car a 2 door or 4 door?
There's no minimum number of posts that I know of to allow posting pictures. Use the picture icon that looks like an envelope with mountains and sun. Follow the on screen prompts to drag the image from your device or computer to the insert area, then press 'insert'. It should take up to 5 images at a time.
Looking forward to seeing your new beast. I'm afraid for it that it's seen its fair share of MB salt though.

The rims are only on the car until I find something new. (I've got a line on some turbines this weekend, fingers crossed!) They were on the car when I bought it but the old owner wanted an extra $700 for them. (rightfully so, 22" steel wheels are awesome AF!)

I had on of these in a 2 dr, Navy Blue, 455. Most comfortable car I ever owned.
Like driving your living room couch down the hi-way. Good luck with her.
I suggest getting yourself a CSM for the 76 year model Olds, enjoy.

Quoted for truth. You simply can't explain the feeling to someone ... it must be experienced to be understood. It's like the acceleration ... it's slow .. but it's constant. It's like there's no power curve. You're cruising at 60 and lean on the gas ... it's not accelerating fast, but relentless. You ease past 80, 90, 100 ... doesn't feel any different. 100 in one of these land yachts, though ... is not for the small of ********. They get a little lively.
