Another Newbie

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself since I just joined the group. I have a '74 Cutlass S that I'm hoping to start restoring (no photos currently - I'll try to figure that out later). It was my first car back when I was in high school (a good number of years ago, now).

My father rebuilt the engine at the time, but unfortunately the car has been sitting un-used in a shed for the last 10-15 years or so, so I will have to go through the process of draining the gas, rebuilding the carb, and all the other good stuff that's going to go along with getting it running again, along with trying to track down parts, etc..

I'm sure I will have more than a few questions that hopefully everyone here can help me out with - looks like a great forum! Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Jamesbo. I will post some photos when I can - the other difficult part of the restoration scenario is that I live 1200 miles away from where my car is stored and will have to try to do this long-distance (obviously I won't be doing much of the work myself, unfortunately).

That's a beautiful looking H/O you've got pictured there - the "burnt to a crisp" part doesn't sound good at all - sorry, sounds like a horrible loss.
