Air Breather for 1964 Cutlass

Hi, I am new here and this is my first post. I have a question and I'm not sure if someone else has covered it already. I have a 1964 Cutlass with a 4bbl 330 High Compression motor. My breather is painted black and a friend I met the other day said it is supposed to be red. Is this correct and if so, does anyone know the correct shade of red?

Hi Boldsmoblie

Thanks for replying and posting a picture. Now I'm really confused. My breather does not look at all like this one. I scanned a picture of it but I'm afraid I don't know how to post it for you to view.

Hi Pete, no I don't have one of those. I will see if I can figure out how to post up a picture of my breather.

Air Breather for 1964 Cutlass

I have a 1964 Olds Cutlass F85 the air clearing is black. I think by my reading is someone have switch air clearing or that you mite have a 400 block which would be a Red air clearing. I am still not sure about this as I have found Olds did somethings very different.

My 64 f85 convert is missing the orignal aircleaner. Anyone know who might have one for sale? Haven't seen one on ebay.
