Adolescent fantasy being fullfilled
Greetings Olds fans and owners,
The car I lusted after as a kid, or at least the starting point for it, is now sitting in my garage - a '65 442. It's a two--door post sports coupe with a 4-speed, The major stuff (bodywork, paint, engine) is almost complete but there's a long list of little stuff that needs attention. I am excited about undertaking this project and getting to know some of the forum members in the process.

Gary That was my dream car when I was 16. I found pretty much the same car, a 4speed car as yours ,except my is not a 442. It does have a 4 speed with white interior, and same color 2door post. I got mine as a retirement gift for myself 4 years ago. Good luck and enjoy Bassinguy

I agree on the wheels, steering wheel and dog. However it is your car and if you like them you should keep them. I would put a set of Torque Thrust wheels on there but that is just me. I would probably get rid of the steering wheel but I would keep the dog for sure. Was he bringing you tools?

Thanks for responding
Appreciate your kind input.
Mars, our Rottie, doesn't bring tools but brings moral support along with my wife, Sheila. Yes, this car was on Craigslist. We took a three hour drive late at night in the middle of a rainstorm through hellish traffic to see it before the owners left for a Caribbean cruise. Someone else had promised to buy it but no $ had changed hands and the owner was open to a cash offer. My condolences to the other prospective buyer. Sometimes you just get lucky.
