71 Olds 442 engine vacuum
I am in the process of restoring a 1971 Cutlass 442 with the 455 engine. I am trying to figure out the vacuum routing and carb lines, etc. I have a 1971 factory manual but need help figuring out where all the lines go. I had a 1972 car that had a 350 rocket in it and it had the Throttle vacuum sensor switch, which screwed into the manifold near the oil fill. The 1971 car does not have the wiring for that switch. Is it possible the 1971 did not have the switch (the intake is not original it is an edelbrock) or possibly someone removed the wires. Car was a former drag car supposedly so a lot was removed. Including fuel tank, heater, interior, etc.
I have installed the correct dated carb and am trying to get the engine as original as possible and get it running. Does anyone know how I can figure out if I had this switch originally, and does anyone have a vacuum diagram for the car. It has a build date of july 1971 according to the door sticker.
Vin Is 344871R160062
Data plate reads
ST71 34487 R01988 BDY
TR932 49 49 PNT
7A130
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
David

The sensor you are describing is the TCS (transmission controlled spark) solenoid.
There are several thread here about that, some with vacuum diags. Some searches for the TSC should reveal it.
The cahssis manual will help, but you will have to connect each section separately, as there was no complete vac diag due to so many car variations...

My 71 442 has this TCS switch that screws into the front of the intake along with the electrical harness and plug. I replaced my entire wire harness from American Auto Wire. When I get to work I will take a look and see which main harness it comes out of. I can also let you know about the vacuum lines as well as which page in the chassis manual I used.

is the TSC switch you are talking about located in the front left corner of the intake and screw into the water port, with 3 vacuum lines ports on it and also a electrical plug which looks like a A/C compressor plug and resistor on it? if so what is the function of this switch? I have a 70 Rallye 350 and the port for this switch I am talking about on my Rallye is plugged and looks like plugged from the factory but the wiring is there for it.
