71 Cutlass Supreme 2dr hardtop
Hello Everybody,
I have found this forum yesterday, although i have the car for 2 years now. I hope you can help me in several things, to make my car better.
I live in Hungary (Europe), and as far as i know there is no other Supreme in the Country.
First of all - if you let me - is there any way to find the original specifications of the car? I.e.riginal color, extras, etc. I am planning to remove the VINYL and paint the roof to the same color as the car is. Did GM originally built cars without it? I have seen many cars online with and without VINYL...
Regards,
Balage

Welcome to CO. Yes, cars could be ordered with or without the vinyl although many like your car (Holiday Hardtop) had the vinyl roof. Many of the options that your car were ordered with new can only be determined by locating and finding a document that is called the "build sheet". This is the document that guided the assembly workers as the vehicle went down the production line. Ultimately this "build sheet" would have been tucked away someplace in the body of the car, sometimes between the fuel tank and the trunk panel, or sometimes under a seat cushion between the springs and the foam, or sometimes behind a package tray. They have been found in many places. As to the general specifications of your model car, there a members here that could provide you with that information (wheelbase, track, weight, engine choices, transmission choices, etc.) Hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Thanks for the fast answer!
At the moment i can't find the build sheet (is it a piece of paper?), but this is on the Fisher Body tag:
ST 71-34257 R07927 80
T5* 977 75 A
033362
*the tag is painted, not very easy to read, so i am not sure if it is a '5' or an 'F'...
I guess i should ask my other questions in the appropriate thread...
