48 Olds fuel tank door question

This is my first attempt at a post so please bare with me on this. I am currently building a 1948 Old's 78 Club Sedan into a hot rod. I hope the Oldsmobile purest's don't get upset but I'm an old Drag Racer and that's what I want to do. I couldn't afford to put it back to original anyway. That being said the reason for this post is a question. The car wasn't complete so I am missing some parts. Can someone with a 1948 or similar model post a picture of an open fuel tank door so I can see what I'm missing in parts. I have the door and hinge but there must be a spring are something else to hold the door open and closed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Paul

Welcome aboard.

If you don't get a answer here you might try dropping down to the vintage forum where the fat fender guys hang out and re-post. I'm sure someone there can help you out....Tedd

Try Fusick or Kanter on line!! There are two springs one holds it open, one holds it closed-they are $14 per set!!

Thanks for the input. I wound up getting the springs from USA Parts Supply. They were $12.95 plus shipping. Thanks again.
