A couple years ago I stripped down my '48 Olds in hopes of shepherding it through a frame off restoration, but I'm way over my head and am now looking for a way out. It has been in my family since 1948 and stored in a barn for most of those years. It has 39,000 original miles and the motor, a straight-eight still turns.
I need to say goodby to this project so please let me know the best way to go about that. 1948 Olds series 78
Welcome to the site formally, sorry to see another hobbyist abandon their project. I would come up with a price and post an ad in our cars for sale classified section.
Thank you for the reply! I know, it's heartbreaking for me to surrender on such a family heirloom, but I have to face the fact that I am over my head. Thank you for the advice.
