Post 400 to a toro 455

first off hello to all.

i have been looking to take out the original 400(which i love) and drop a 455 in as a replacement. between me and father we have found a couple of toro motors. if i understand right the 350 mounts would work for it. is there any other issues i will come across with the swap. goin into a 68 442.. thx

Both the 400 and the 455 are big blocks, so there are no differences in external dimensions between the two.

Welcome to Classic Olds.

There are no "350" or "455" mounts, despite what people may call them. There are only Anchor P/N 2261 and 2328 mounts, which only match specific frame mounts, NOT engines. As we've covered in exhausting detail in these pages, if you have a 1968 442 with the original frame mounts, use the 2261 motor mounts for ANY Olds V8.

By the way, this is exactly how the 68 H/O was built.
