1st Olds since 1975

New old guy here, just like to say hi! I am finally back in an olds. 64 F85 with a 455 and turbo 400. I bought it at the end of October, drove it a little bit and put it in storage the 1st week of November. It appears to be pretty solid, little rust I hope! I have been snopping around a little and found good info on parking brake and steering box options. I’m going to try and post some pics. Looks like a great forum, thanks for letting me sign up.

Thanks for the welcome. Can’t wait till I get it home from storage. I have the dog dish hubcaps, need to get some steel wheels from vintiques to match the rears. Eventually I would like to get another hood or make a smaller scoop. Interior is pretty good but needs a dash pad. Thanks again.

I like that look. Believe it or not it looks similar to my 65 Coronet I had. It also was white with Torque Thrust wheels and a Mopar super stock type hood scoop. I also had white steelies on my slicks. That hood scoop doesn't look too bad- different- I kinda like it. Sweet car! Welcome to the site.

30 over 455

It has cutlass seats, should have F85 deluxe covers, maybe someday!

The diff is supposedly from a 70 w30, 391 posi. One inch wider I’m told. The previous owner bought 15x8 wheels and told me he had to reset the back spacing. Like I said in the previous post I really have not had much time with the car, can’t wait till spring! Finding lots of great people and info in this forum.

I love it, although with the high beams screened was kind of expecting to see tubes to an air cleaner. Someone put a lot of love into that car.

I will eventually reinstall the high beams but for now I will stay with the high beam/low beam led setup that the privious owner had installed. Works pretty good. In time I would like to make some changes to my liking. Steering box has seen better days, install a more user friendly shifter so maybe my wife could drive it a little or maybe not! It also has tubular upper and lower A arms and disc brake conversion. It still needs a little sorting out, but with the help of this forum I hope to be able to do that. Thanks again.

I have a full set of Kelsey Hayes 14" steels I was going to send to the powder room but if you can use them, perhaps we can negotiate.

I’m going to go with 15x6 wheels, they fit my brakes nicely and I have new tires also. Thanks for the offer.
