1984 cutlass calais
I merged your 2 threads as the subject would be easier to follow. Parts are very plentiful for this model as there are plenty still in wrecking yards. Mechanical parts are available through your local auto parts stores. The only parts that are getting a bit harder to find are the plastic trim pieces.
If the car is represented as well as you stated it likely worth the ask. NADA suggests in excellent condition it's worth north of 5500. When you say 'loaded' what exactly are the options? It's surprising how little Olds actually provided as included items.
There are aftermarket parts available, but if the car gets into an accident it's going to be a matter of severity that determines if it's junk.
Both Eric and I know that valuation is negotiable so if the seller is open to an OBO, go on the lower side and see what happens. It may end up being the sale price. It will eventually get to that point where it will sell for what someone is willing to pay. A smart seller will take a good offer so they don't have to continue holding or insuring a car they obviously don't want any more.
You referenced the body is excellent but what about the frame, especially the rear frame rails and the trunk floor just above the frame rails... I know these vehicles fairly well and that is a major area of rust concern even in low mileage vehicles.... If this area is free from rust, the price is not all that unreasonable....
