1977 Cutlass Supreme
I'm a newbie. Just joined this group, and just bought a 1977 Cutlass Supreme. Absolutely stock. Had been garaged for the last 20+ years. Previous owner installed all new belts and hoses, and a new battery and had everything fixed that needed fixed (except the clock). Looks and runs like it is 3 years old--not 38 years! Original tires (whitewalls), that are in great condition. Gold paint (in very good condition) with black vinyl top (rear portion of roof only, of course). Beige leather interior.
Only 28,900 miles.
Anyone have any idea what it is worth?

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Ha. Unfortunately the market is all over the place for these things but the last one in mint condition I remember seeing on eBay was around $10k. Then you have dreamers on there who list theirs for $20k. Market dictates value and eBay is the best place to start. Try craigslist too. I think Hemings motor news may have something on it too.

You'll get as many different opinions as there are people on earth.
The Olds Cars Price Guide has no respect for these cars. In showroom condition, their value is in the $3,000 to $3,500 range. I'd pay more than that myself for your car.
In my opinion, craigslist is of no value because you never find out what the cars sell for. Asking prices, which is what you see on c-list, mean nothing. People can ask the moon, and many do. When an ad disappears, you don't know if it's because the car sold, the seller gave up, or the ad just expired. Ditto for any other listing of cars for sale.
Ditto for ebay as well unless you check completed auctions, and there may not be that many recent ones for a car like yours in the condition yours is in. It doesn't hurt to look, but remember that auctions that supposedly met the reserve sometimes don't complete for one reason or another.
As oldcutlass says, what did YOU pay for the car? How did you determine that it was worth what you paid? That right there is as good as anything as far as determining value.
