1972 Vista Cruiser

Hi All, I've been a member for a while but as I last logged on in 2012 I am counting myself as a newbie. I'm based in the UK (though not there right now due to covid) and I'm lucky to own this 1972 Vista Cruiser. It is in pretty exceptional condition, however there are a couple of issues I would like to get fixed and a few parts to track down. Oldsmobile isn't the best supported of the US makers, especially here in the UK, and Vista Cruisers were never made in great quantity, so I'm introducing myself in the hope establishing contact with fellow classic Olds owners! Thanks

Welcome again, that sure is a beauty! It must really stand out in the UK.

Welcome to the site, post a list in the parts wanted classifieds. There are a few members that will ship overseas.

Very nice Vista. I had one years ago in dark green. Loved that car.

Such a beautiful and original looking Vista Cruiser Robert! It is always great seeing Oldsmobile vehicles around the world.

Sweet looking Vista! C&D likes to measure the capacity of SUVs by how many cases of beer can be loaded. I wonder where a Vista compares to modern SUVs. Probably less than a LWB Suburban/Yukon/'Slade, but I bet it comes close to most 3-row cross-overs and beats all of the 2-rows.

While my vista was a daily driver, I would use it to get building supplies from time to time. With the rear seats folded flat, it would fit a full 8 foot 2 x 4 laying down between the back of the front seat and the gate. Multiply that by the roughly 4 foot width and 3 foot height and you gat an idea of the cargo capacity.

Will load more pics when I can get to them. It has likely had a respray though not sure, but definitely a survivor and I'm pretty sure from the way it drives and looks that the mileage (c. 53,000) is real.
