Your sign in name is REALW30 but your post is about a W-31. Is there a typo there or do you have a W-30 also?

Gold stripes, vinyl top & interior is not unusual with some body colors like white or green. However that is very unusual with Sebring yellow. I will reserve judgement on wether or not that color combo works or not until you post pics.

I am doing a frame off restoration as far as I have checked and know about Oldsmobile cutlass. This is the only one out there and maybe the only one ever ordered in this color combination. I used to have two 1970 W-30 Convertibles that I sold over the years that is why it is real W30. Here are some pictures of the car. Even though someone put 442 emblems on the car at one time. Randy

Welcome to CO. Looks like a nice car. How are you coming up with the numbers produced for this color combo? I am not questioning your statement but wonder about my stupidity. I had a chance to buy a 442 w 30 vert in this color combo about 15 yrs ago for about 5 k and passed

I'm still learning, so please forgive my ignorance. The pictures of the complete car sure don't look like Sebring yellow.

Welcome aboard Randy.
I've seen this car and indeed it is a yellow and gold (originally) car. So far in my travels and experiance I've never seen that color combo on anything. How many made? We can only guess. ~BOB

The color in the pictures make it look like bamboo but I can see how they are faded images. Either way it is a very cool color combination and has to be relatively rare. If there were only records left for these cars many would be 1 of 1s.

What does the cowl tag say for color?

Oh cool i just noticed the pic on the trailer definitely Sebring, wow! that will be one unique looking car when done.

I see the previous owner painted the rims yellow as well. I think they would look great Argent silver or with SS1s. Do you know what the car came with?

Stephen > the cow tag says code is -- the build card is code 51 This car originally came with XT coded wheels. I have original pictures of the second owners in California from 1972. This car was actually used in the movie pursuit of happiness it was parked in san Francisco on the streets but I have not seen it in the movie so far.

Steven, the car originally came with color coded XT wheels. The cow tag is -- and the build car is code 51. As far as I know it is one of one. Randy

I'm delighted to hear about this car but until production records exist for something like this, saying "1 of 1" is just puffery without the sale ad. The fact is that we don't know.

That's true But at this point it seems to be the only one out there right now. I will be glad when this restoration is done so I can come home and drive the car instead of wrenching. Randy

But how do you know?

You don't.

If you look in the Wild About Cars site, you'll see gold interior and stripes was one of the recommended combinations. Your car has a regular production trim combination:

He doesn't say that it is the only one out there right, but it seems to be. More than one built in this color combo, probably, any in the public eye that we know of?, ever seen another? doesn't mean there are, don't mean that there is, as we don't have the records, means that we will probably won't know until another shows up. never the less, uncommon.
