1970 Olds F85

Hey fellow Oldsmobile Guys and Girls. I have been checking this site as a non member for over a year now and have a three ring binder of printed post on all sorts of issues. A little about me and my baby, I`m a deputy sheriff in South Carolina, I have a factory green 70 F85 that I have owned since 1984. I drove it to my wedding and honeymoon in 1985 and I brought my son home from the hospital in 1987 in this car. She has had several motors and trans over the years and has been on blocks under a shed for about the last ten years. My son is engaged and they are trying to have me a grand baby and I want my first grand child to also come home from the hospital in the Olds. She has a new coat of paint with a new hood and deck spoiler and a rebuilt 455 attached to a 400 turbo out of a 72 station wagon.

70 olds F85

Hey thanks for the feed back I could write a book on me and the history of this car. I had this car when I had to take gas from the lawn mower and pick up cans just to get to work. Now that i`m doing better I want her back on the road and nicer than she was when I got her. Not everyone understands that a guy can bond with a car. Might sound crazy but I Love my car ... I have alot of questions about parts and issues But I will try to follow the rules of this site because its the best one that I have found on the web. You guys have a wonderful day. I will post a pic as soon as I can figure out how....

Welcome, and some picture help

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a passion for your car and your children! Nice to see you've kept this car alive over the years - there weren't that many f85's produced in 1970. Was it born with a V8 or 6 cylinder?

Pics are easy to install

* clik the 'go advanced' tab
* Press the icon that looks like a paper clip; and A 'Manage Attachments' box will appear
* Choose (navigate on your computer to where the pics are stored) and hit 'open'. repeat for all 5 pics.
* Hit 'upload'. It may take a bit of time depending on your pic resolution. If you have ultra high res, you will have to 'resize' them with your picture editor to a 1024X768 size or smaller for the C.O. server to accept them.
* Close the "manage attachments' box.
* Preview your post and the images will be at the bottom
* Hit 'submit post' and the thread will have the images installed at the bottom. Unfortunately you can only do 5 pics at a time this way.

If you have the pics hosted on another web server?
* Copy the IMG url and Press the icon that looks like an envelope with mountains on it. Paste the URL into that box and hit 'ok'. You can install up to 20 images this way.
* Be sure to preview your work.
* Make sure the images don't carry on across the page, stack them for easier viewing.
