Hey I joined awhile ago but havent posted much so I thought now that shes all painted and driving I'd post up some pics. Sorry if they are kinda cheesy I'm a high school senior and the pics are from my high school's car page so I'm posed. I bought the car as a freshman for $2000 and have done pretty much everything myself. The paint scheme was something I created on Need for Speed then showed the painter so it's obviously not original but I love it. Anyway enjoy!

Lol thanks guys at least you know there's still some of the next generation that appreciates good old American muscle and working on them, there's probably only 2 or 3 other kids I know that do anything to their cars besides stereo systems

Very nice work! My first ride was a 69 Cutlass too, bought it when I was 16 and had it for 8 years. Hope you keep yours much longer!

Port and polished heads
Holley 670 street avenger
Performer cam/lifters
Upgraded ignition: Mallory distributor, Electronic ignition ect

The car has a duel 2.5" x pipe with super 40's
And 3.90's in the rear

Probably in the 300-400hp range but I'm no expert lol

Very nice transformation! Love the blue (not wild about the stripes but that's just me). Hope you saved all the moldings you took off, they are worth some $$ for guys who are looking for vinyl top trim. How about some pics of the 'inside'?

From the looks of the 'before' you started with a pretty solid car. You chose some nice wheels - glad you didn't keep those cheezy looking wheel covers.
I was a little surprised to see a coil bolted to your new engine. Most of the non stock engine rebuilds I've seen seem to ditch them and install HEI distributors.

Congratulations on your accomplishment. Glad to see you're amongst the next generation of Olds gearheads. Any plans for your next project? Yeah, you'll have one soon enough......

Sweet ride and you did a great job. We're going to be doing some work on a '69 Cutlass, including removing the vinyl top. Do you have any recommendations for that?

 

Pull lol really that's alot of it just find a loose corner and pull some sort of flat prying tool is helpful I used a screw driver which works but be careful to not gouge your roof maybe like a metal putty scraper would work well too just take your time. If you have any other questions on anything feel free to shoot me a pm I've probably done whatever it is you have a question about haha.
