1955 Oldsmobile Heater

In the middle of this picture you see what appears to be a heater outlet of some sort. I didn't take this car apart and have no idea what this is supposed to be hooked up to?? Any help will be appreciated

I assume that this is at the bottom of the heater box assembly...that is a drain - water from the cowl area that would get into the heater box would drain out there - there is a rubber drain tube that is missing (but not necessary - just drained to the ground) - Fusick has the tubes if you care, but you don't need them. There's one on the driver's side air box as well.

Looks like the spring clamp that used to hold it on is still there.

Check this thread to see what the assembled box looks like (note that the drain tubes aren't attached in those photos)
