Retro radio wanted

Just throwing out a feeler for an old 70-80s era style shaft mount radio. AM/FM/ cassette from the old days in working condition, prefer RCA outputs and separate bass / treble controls, let me know what you have.

I remember selling these single DIN shaft-style units new back in the 80's - worked my way thru college in now long gone stores like Best Products (formerly BASCO) and Crazy Eddie's - best of the brands were typically Alpine, Blaupunkt, Jensen, Clarion and JVC, and some Pioneer Super Tuner models. Ebay is probably your best resource for this stuff now even though most of what you'll find is well used except for the occasional closet-find that either never made it into a car or was pulled out of one early on and stored away for whatever reason...

Other thing to consider though is most were pretty low-powered and needed an amp to produce decent output.at lower volume levels. The 'repro' radios available now have much higher usable wattage so amps aren't an absolute requirement. - Retrosound is a decent brand (I have the Long Beach in my ragtop) and they're configured at several different price levels. Custom Autosound is another one but I'm not as enamored with them. Antique Auto Radio also has one which looks like a factory Cutlass radio but is completely modern tech - way pricey though at about $625.

good luck in the search!
