Where's Norm?
I looked at his profile and he was last on here in May. I did a search on 88 coupe and there was a ton of posts with that subject. I'm sorry but I just was wondering

Granted he knew a lot about Oldsmobiles but I think he was a jack ***. No need for a lot of his crap. Just like everybody else, it is just my opinion. I did appreciate his waving flag though.

Oh.
I'm very sorry.
I did enjoy reading his abrasive answers, so long as they weren't directed at me.
Is there any way that the editor of your local newsletter could give you a news clipping or some such thing to post up for the group?
It's sad when a member passes on, even one whose style made him unpopular with some members.

RIP Norm.
I don't recall any of his posts, anyone got his username so I can look some up please?.
I don't mean this in a ghoulish manner, I get the impression he could polarize opinions and knew a lot about Oldsmobiles, I'm sure I and a lot of other users could learn something.
If we can do that he will be performing a good service post mortem.
Roger.

R.I. P. Norm
With rue my heart is laden
for golden friends I've had
For many a rose-lipt maiden
and many a light foot lad
By brooks to broad for leaping
the light foot boys are laid
The rose lipt girls are sleeping
in fields where roses fade..
Housman

Oh good God, enough already!
I hate to speak ill of the dead, but he could be an obnoxious jerk sometimes (almost as bad as me!). He may have been a fount of Oldsmobile information, but that didn't give him license to abuse people. Let's not make him out to be more than he was.

Hey Joe Padavano, I went to your swap space four separate times over the course of the morning this past Saturday at Carlisle, and you were never there!
To make up for my frustration, I took ten things you had for sale.
Just kidding.
Actually, while I was standing there one of the times, three guys came up and wanted to buy something. So I pretended to be you and took their money.
Just kidding again.
Sorry I missed you.

You say right before you go ahead and do just that.
Not even close.
Yes, and unlike you, he had access to information not contained within "Setting the Pace".
Where did you apply for you own, anyway?
More than some.

I just caught this thread, VERY VERY sorry to hear of Norm's passing.
Many, many here did not get along with him but he was Oldsmobile wise.
A loss to the community whether you liked him or not.
I would appreciate more info if available.
Thanks.

Here's a short vid I made of the 3 of us at the old Terminal Island dragstrip in 1994, Norm in the '50, my buddy Spence in the red '65 Cutlass and me in my tan '66 F-85 4dr. I had it on my old 8mm camcorder, I just recorded it from my phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvVKPuC3J1s
