my 1987 ( i beleve) cutlass project

ok. so i got this car out of a salvage yard the other day for $450. it needs alot of work but i dont care. i got hooked on the 80s cutlass body style a year ago when i bought a blue 87 2dr supreme from behind a guy's house. this one is a Brougham edition but im gonna get rid of the plush seats and the padded door skins and make the car into a hot rod.

Cool. The grille looks like it's from an '81. Is it a steel hood? These cars are a lot of fun, they look great and they're light.

i picked up a holley 4bbl today for $20. i wont know what CFM it is untill i clean up the carb and run the numbers online but everything moves smoothly and it will bolt righ to my stock intake without a adaptor. i am gonna put a new o ring kit in it just to be on the safe side.

havin to wait till tuesday for the right battery. i put in a classic style GT stearing wheel and stabbed the distrubtor. i rolled the motor over with a 1/2" ratchet and it turns smooth. i decided to run my holley 350 2bbl carb. just gotta wait for my adaptor to come in. i also got rid of that damn half vinal top. im gonna sand the roof and put on a coat or 2 of primer. i got it off just in time. it was starting to rust under the vinal top.

i got my 4bbl to 2bbl carb adaptor in today and got the carb mounted.now ive run into a small setback. well a few of them to be exact.1- there is no vacume port on the carb for my brake booster hose. 2- my throdel mount wont work sence i went with a 2bbl. now i have to make a adaptor for it. 3- there is no spot for my kickdown cabel to mount and 4- i have to install a manual push pull choke cabel for my holley. im gonna try to get a few of these problems fixed over the weekend.
