New build on a 1965 2 door post

Bought the car a few years ago from a guy that was going to built a race car. He removed the seats and replaced with high back buckets. Removed the engine & transmission and replaced with SBC and TH 350. I got rid of the Chevy stuff and have Olds 455 to put in with a TH 400. Can someone please let me know what was original equipment by the tag?

I believe Joe answered your trim plate question in another thread.

The car is in the body shop. I'm going to get more pictures of the car and post where we are at with the restoration. So far, have the front quarters, front inner tubs and rad support repaired and ready for primer. The hood is straight and primed and looks great. Just starting on the rear quarters and would like to know if body parts are available. Could use new trunk extension/drop offs and outer rear wheel tubs for both sides. Any idea if these are available?

I do not think there’s a lot. Most folks try and find a parts car OR buy used pieces off an old car.

I’m not sure if Pontiac or Buick or Malibu drop offs are the same. OR the wheel wells.
Something tells me they might with some tweaking.

Does anyone recognize these seats? Are they originally from an Olds? They were in my parts car, but not original equipment.

Those are not stock to your car. Post a list of parts needed in the parts wanted classified forum.

Need your expertise

Hi guys. Need your expertise.
I'm getting ready to lift the body off the car's frame... wondering the best way to do that. Where and how should I lift? I'm looking for some input so I don't cause body or structural damage.
Thanks

what are you using to lift? i used a chain hoist on the front hooked to the torque boxes, and had a buddy help put a 4x4 on top of the frame arch in the back we lifted up the 4x4 and set both sides on saw horses. then hooked up the rotisserie.
