that motor and trans is yours if you want it. it has a two barrel on it now. since the heads dont match the block it may even have the high comp. pistons, have to pull a head to see.

ball joints and bushings are in . I forgot to take my friggin sway bar in for blasting.. also missing the bushings for it in the kit I bought go figure

Also I pulled out my body bushing kit to get it ready... yeah it`s great I think it originally came from OPG piece of crap anyone know of a place that offers a complete kit including core support that is close to OEM ?

also still waiting for my fuel and brake line kit to come in stainless fuel line is on back order... so bit the bullet and got a decent aftermarket front disc kit coming as well

RANZAN i POSTED SOME PICTURES ON MY 64 POST UPDATE, Same situation on my 64 rear. I called Richard this morning for some more tips I have not done this type of work vefore and i need to learn how to make small patch panels and weld them in. Also what kind of glue are you using?

therobski

I used 3m panel adhesive and gun

adhesive # 08115

Gun # 08571

I used sheet metal vise grips to clamp it together but MAKE sure you wipe excess panel adhesive off the underside of the panel as it sets it will bond your clamp to the panel ..... don`t ask how I know

I took another look at your pics and your quarter to sail panel area might be easier than mine. my underpanel is closer to the quarter than yours by the looks of it those are the real PITA spotwelds to get

make sure to take your time fitting the panel. I had mine in and out about 6 or 7 times before I was happy with it ....aftermarket never fits perfect

While I am waiting on my fuel and brake lines to come in I decided to tackle the last bit of the underbody cleaning........

A new left trunk to wheelwell brace is on it`s way everything surrounding it is clean except the brace itself... and had to pull the right off to get to the trunk to wheelwell joint where I found some work to do but the brace is good
go figure lol

also does anyone know of someone that offers the 3 peice trunk kit that actually has the spare tire area? I only need the right side

Checked with cross Canada and by thier pics the repo does not have that in the stamping of the right side piece....

If not I have some more fab work to do before body get`s back on

Rusted trunk brace.... needed to to cut it up anyway due to rusted body bolt

IMG_1603.jpg

Spare tire area I might end up just fabbing but will have to find a new bolt down area for the top after I zip it out

IMG_1604.jpg

Here is the section of wheelwell /trunk area that needs a patch

IMG_1605.jpg

glad I took the brace off lots of crusty metal underneath

RANZAN I bought my 3-piece trunk panels, trunk braces, body braces, and the floor pans from TOPCO in Ohio. (64) A friend of mine that has a Corvette Restoration Center called them for me and set themselves up a distributor and got them at distributor cost- obviously they will not sell direct to the end user. The fit is okay, made in Ohio but they are very limited on what they mfr. for Olds.
