Looks great!! Hope it runs good for you! I see you moved your neg cable to the block, that's good I was loosing sleep over that!! Boy those exhaust manifolds sure are pitted! With all the nice detailing you've put into the car, if it were mine I think I'd try to find another pair or at least one for the drivers side since it shows more( maybe someone on this site could hook you up?). A few years ago I did a bunch of resto work on my girlfriends '76 Salon. One of the things I did was put a complete '73 dual exhaust system on it since her converter was already gone. I really lucked out & found an absolutely mint pair of small block manifolds on Epay for cheap! I think they were off a '71 or '72. I blasted them & coated them with POR manifold gray, they came out looking like new castings! I think Olds used the left manifold with the #1 casting for a few years.

Alain, how long did you run it for? Curious how much paint, if any, burned off around the manifolds. Thanks

Alain, What's the story on the behind the grill transmission cooler? Is that a factory option that I never knew about? Or is it just aftermarket with a nice set of trans lines routed to it?

Great work! Beautiful job...
Can you update us with the black paint used on the cowl, engine firewall, and radiator core? It looks like semi on the cowl, flat on the firewall, and semi on the radiator core? Am I correct?

Yes you are correct there are 3 shades of black for various sub assemblies
Or 4 if you count the inner fender wells which are black plastic

Radials. Nice. I think that is the direction I will go also. I have bias plys on my 69 and while they are “correct” the ride with radials is way better. I have another set of wheels with radials and put them on that 69 last summer and gosh how much better it rode. I put the bias plys back on cause my 69 is a time capsule car but the 70 I’m building I am gonna go with the repop radials also.

Are Wide Ovals radial tires? I always thought they were before radials became popular! But then, Grandpa’s memory is getting a little faint.... lol!
