Smile Making some progress on the 442

HI all!
Since I don't have the tools or space to tackle tall of this on my own I sent the car to South Coast Rides in Richmond Texas.
Here is a link if your interested - it is the only olds on the site.
http://www.southcoastrides.com/progress.htm

They have made some progress on the break down having removed the front clip, engine/trans, stripped the interior and removed the glass.
As I understand it, they should be separating the body from the frame on Friday. Then after a few "quick" fixes on the frame, it is off to powder-coat.

I found a drivers 1/4 in Missouri that I am trying to get shipped down (man that ain't cheap!) but still need a portion of the bottom 1/4 on the passenger side. No luck on that one yet.... so I keep looking.
If anyone has a lead that would be great.

While they do all of that - I have the 455 they pulled at my house.
Now I need to figure out what I want to do with that and get that ball rolling. I do know I want it better than stock but am not looking to take it to the drag strip... Just smoke the tires on occasion

They made some more progress on "Olive" over the past few weeks.
Fixed a few spots in the floor, started on the rockers and got the right rear 1/4 tacked in.
Here is the link if you care to go look - ttp://www.southcoastrides.com/toddpg2.htm

Replaced lower door skin, lower passenger cowl, lower passenger 1/4, portion and portion of the trunk pan.
Still lots to do..

There are now 3 pages of photos on the site. http://www.southcoastrides.com/progress.htm

Take a look if your interested.

Happy New Year to all of you.

Yea... LOTS of rust.
I bought it from a guy in Massachusetts.
The frame was actually pretty solid. Pitted but sound...
The body had a lot more rust in some places than I thought but not as much in others...

Yea, there are a lot of parts I wish they would repopulate... Body parts for the 65 are not real easy to come buy. They are out there but you have to dig
