Johnny’s 1970 442 Twilight blue

Another olds story.
saw this car back in February in Kingman, Arizona $25,000
not a terrible price. Supposedly had the original 455, but came with a bench seat. I figured I could always switch to buckets if I really wanted to unsure about the car with the bench seat.
I did not buy it yet he said he would take 22k.
fast forward to May I had bought a 70 pace car the previous month because I wanted a 70 olds. It was close enought.
I thought it was a decent deal at 27K so I bought it. All of a sudden the blue car dropped in price so had to buy it.
sold the pace car.

Day 1 car arrives i checked the Engine # and it matched. The guy selling it guy brought it to me for $250 “Fuel money”

Came with a fancy mexican seat cover

One dice on the dash and one under the seat Previous owner? Aftermarket tach has to go. It had a factory tach in dash. Was just disconnected works great, Score!

Few spilts front back seat

Nitrous was installed on the engine I knew I was gonna take it off.
I was concerned about it having nitrous but has good compression, so I think I’ll be OK for now.

Nice original decals in the trunk

I found the build sheet on day one when I took the seat out. Half of it anyway.

i immediately got rid of the tan floor mats

Good headliner just needs dome light lens

Cleaned under dash a bit

Orig radio in trunk no *****

Tossed the tan mats first day

Much cleaner with nitrous removed and coil Mounted towards the back.

Sport mirrors installed

Hood chrome

Partial build date i see an 11 11/69? I don’t think it would be 11/70 correct

Found this in the lower quarter in the trunk Score!

Dedicated to the previous owner I took some fishing line and hung the blue dice.

Looks like it's landed in the right place! Coming along nicely.

Was it originally a bucket seat car?

11/70 I think they would have been well into the '71 model year production. You should be able to get the build week from the cowl tag?

No 11/70 would not be correct. Oldsmobile started building 1971 models approx August of 1970. Kool 442, Congrats!

I have it all up here but I'm in Canada, you should be able to find the parts somewhere close to you.
