Introducing "The Dirty Blonde"

Some of you have already seen the 67 ragtop I bought the other night. Got some of the first parts in already. Not sure how far I going to take this one but it cool factor will be way up on the scale from what it is now when I'm done. Front tires shown with a front and a rear wheel. Rear tires still Fedex's hands somewhere.

Looks like a great car to build. Based on your other projects, I am looking forward to this. Any Info on the wheels and tires?

I'm looking at wheels myself. What are the size and specs for the tires you're using?

Not sure yet. It runs like crap but barely been driven since 89 so might just need the cobb webs blown out.

Its a brand new wheel from US mags. Best quality finish on a "cheap" wheel I have ever come across. I am going with 18 x 8 / 18 x 9.5 and 245 40 front 275 40 rear. I'm going to be tight on the back and worst case i'll use a 64-65 narrow axle. Thats the only drawback to 1 piece wheels. you can't order custom backspace.

Those wheels are going to look awesome on it.

I'm getting ready to order the new sabre U437 for my 71. They are a Olds copy/mod that us mags just came out with. You can get them in a bunch of sizes and 1,2 or 3 piece. I'm going for the 2 piece all polished with no gold inlay. 2300 OTD plus tires.

That's the other set of wheels I've had my eye on.. Please let me know what size you end up getting and tire size... I think these will look great on your car!

Well about 10 days after posting this I quit my good paying job for a another job with much lower initial pay but much better long term potential. I'm still at the making ends meet early stages of said new job. All non essential stuff is on hold for the moment.

Yes Park Place Lexus. Its a monster with no clients at all in just 2 months I have already to a point it took me 2 years to get to at the other place. I'll be making more that I was with in a year or less.

Its funny I hardly fix cars there. Its just maintenance with random repairs. Its not like at Chevrolet where a customer starts telling me their problem and I knew what it was before the first sentence is finished since I had already had 42 more like it that month LOL

That's the idea behind Lexus. Hell, I even have to zip up my shop jacket and not lean on any equipment panels in a Lexus plant.

Cool, Lexus customers are probably a bit easier to deal with.

Crap Richard - I was going to hit you up for where I might get a deal on fixing the gas smell issue I'm having on my '08 Z06. It's getting worse and I've read it is a huge problem to fix.

I would go that far. But over all I have dealt with good people. Some are more of a challenge than others LOL

That sucks! If the tanks have to come out it is a major job.
