Wolfman, that picture is one that I needed to see. I was looking at where my windshield washer bottle is supposed to go and I think I may have gotten the wrong one because I don't see how the darn thing lines up with any holes on the fender well. I think I am going to have to get the drill out but at least now I know where to position it.

Here are some better pics! Almost done putting all of the chrome and trim back on, I have the driver door window to stick in and then it's on to the interior. Got to get it alligned and after that...IT'S DRIVIN TIME!

Latest pics of my machine. Getting closer to the end, I have some pesky electrical problems to figure out, finish adjusting the front bumper, install the side view mirror and then it's on to installing the interior. After that I just have to get it alligned (taking for granted that the electrical problems get taken care of.)

Smile Nice

The sunlight really makes her stand out. Is that chrome trim that runs along the top of the fenders an original item cause it really stands out and looks really sharp.Very very cool looking ride

Yes, that chrome trim along the fender is factory. Got everything in except the carpet, the seats and the drivers door panel.

Smile Like it

I was wondering about it when I saw all the holes along the top of the fender after the paint job.I have seen cars with stripes along the tip of the fender to the back window but the chrome looks really sharp.

From my limited experience,The dimples in the repos ears don't match the holes in the firewall. I guess it's a chinese casting thing. I dunno.

I never did the E-Bay thing with it but I had it on Craigs list for about a month for the roof, sail panel, floor pan and trunk pan, seemed like no one was interested. Got the drivers seat, windshield wipers and washer bottle left to put on.

*edit* I think I advertised it on here too but I don't have time to check right now, I sold everything that I could sell.*

Figured out part of my electrical problem tonight. The blinker switch in the steering column is old and after all of the years setting in the desert it must be giving up. If I wiggle it around , it makes things work sometimes. Maybe with use it will loosen up and work the dirt out enough to start working correctly.

Signal lights

AAHH who needs them , you could always just hang your arm out the window Seriously though if you use a good spray and wiggle it at the same time it may help blow out the dirt and crap.

The car is running pretty good, when we left the photo area we pulled a little street race, he took me by about a car and a half but I am definately not a racer. It was fun though and we did leave our marks on the streets of San Diego!

Thumbs up Nice pics

Really , really , really nice pics willidog. The shots on the beach was a great choice and the car looks great , the top looks sharp as do the seats and panels. The black really sets off that color blue. So did you get anywhere with the signal light lever? Got to do some work on my brother's 52 to get it ready for sale and try to finish up the 69 convertible plus do some of my own organic farm buisness , trying to get it started up. Really itching to get the car on the road cruising , that is where it should be.

No, I haven't had time to mess with the electrical problem yet. If I don't have the headlights turned on I don't have a problem so I just limit my night time driving for now.

Willdog,
All the hard work paid off. Very nice looking ride. I love the double "A" body photo shoot. Seeing the two together is an interesting perspective.

Very nice car. Amazing how even with the problems we have with them we still keep plugging along. Great job.

Talking

Well, I got the electrical problem fixed or at least got everything working. Went to get some new light bulbs and my buddy (Mont1le) told me to get the correct front blinker bulbs because I had screwed up in the past and put clear bulbs in there instead of the amber ones. After I replaced all of the bulbs, everything worked. Strange.

Here is a picture of my Oldsmobile in the Mopar Club of San Diego's All American Car Show. I have since cut off those strange looking tail pipes. I was the only Oldsmobile in the place (except for maybe 40's or 50's types of which I don't know enough about to identify them). I also didn't win anything, but I got alot of comments on the car.

Nice looking car, I was starting to want one of them there buicks but seeing it in the same shot as your car kills that idea. Strange how the same basic car can look so different.

My blue 68 is nicer than both though..just kidding.
