Floor replacing

I hope this is not a stupid question in some eyes. I am curious, if I have a donor car with a GOOD floor, is it worth the time cutting it out as a replacement or do I go with a NEW floor? The original is a 4 speed floor and so is the donor.

Yes it's worth it. OEM parts are better than repops and the metal will be thicker gauge than repops too.

Since I'm asking, can a 68 400 with "C" heads be fitted with a 68 W-30 cam without trouble or would I need to have the valves done ?

Once you have all the donor parts off that donor car, take a good look at the rest of the sheet metal, trim, driveline, interior and frame. If it's solid you have a great parts car that folks with 68/69 would likely be looking for. The replacement market for 68/69 sheet metal still isn't as good as the 70-72 yet.

I took an entire floor from a donor car and put it into a '69 Cutlass that was pretty badly rusted. It worked out pretty nicely. Carefully trim to the factory joints, then weld together and seal the seams.
