First Drive in 6 months.

Got the '71 SX back on the road today after a 6 month hiatus. It all started with a water pump, then a fan clutch, thermostat, temp sending unit, all new hoses, radiator rod and repair and coating the timing cover with POR-15.
Everything sealed up good and no leaks so far! It sure did feel good to be back on the road today!

Good thing it didn't take any longer. Of course you don't have to worry about missing summer where you live.

Great news, glad you got it on the road. We all know how one little thing leads to another.

You got that right. Their summer is our winter. You don't go outside except to get from place to place.

I was in Phoenix in June. The thermometer on the rental car read 115 degrees on a Tuesday afternoon. Overnight lows are in the low 90s. I thought, "how do people live like this?" I found out that they don't. Fall, winter, and spring are the outdoor seasons. Summer you just stay inside.

These jobs do go a little slower in the hot summer months. I was finishing up over the weekend and it was still 100+ degrees in my garage at 10pm. The good news is the really great weather is just around the corner, and I'm ready to cruise!
