Engine color

I am getting ready to refresh the appearance of the engine bay in my 83 H/O. I'm thinking the engine color is probably gold but not for sure as their isn't any color left. Can someone tell me for sure.

Starting in '83 GM went to black paint for their engines. It was a low gloss black.
