Bolt Kits....?

While waiting for my frame to come back, I started inventorying everything. I have a huge pile of labeled baggies with bolts/nuts/clips/screws/etc... that are all crusty to some degree. To clean/repaint all of this stuff would be maddening & prolly cost more than new, plus they're 40+ y/o fasteners & deserve a rest! I researched some kits (mostly chassis) and have found :

AMK
http://www.amkproducts.com/GM_Kits.htm

Chevelle centric - Chevelle guys seem to like them. Prices good. Catalog/selection = excellent. 'Correctness' = ? How close is a '68 Chevelle chassis to a '68 Cutlass as far as fastener colors & parts? (pretty close, I'd think)

Totally Stainless

Serious $$$$ - More than I need for a nice driver

Fusick/TPP/OPGI/et al
Smaller, more piecemeal kits...Seems the same as AMK, but w/ a bit more $$$ & some claim 'garranteed correct'

Inline Tube
Individual pieces...Some nice stuff, but also some crazy $$$ ($24 for 3 steering box bolts ??!!)

Mr. G

Looks like smaller kits and not real descriptive on contents

I'm focusing on the chassis now, but will eventually need front-end, interior, & other kits..

Anyone use any others ? Recommendations ? Condemnations ? Ideas ?

Thanks ...

New hardware is the way to go but you shouldn't have to go broke doing it.

If the Chevelle guys like the A body AMK kit it should work just as well on the Olds.

Do you have an industrial plater near you? I took 3 boxes full of every rusty, greasy bolt on my car and picked up like new black and silver hardware. I spent apox $200.00 two years ago so I am sure you can find something similar. If you can't and want to send them to me I will get them done here for you.
